Last updated: 29 July 2026Dedoku: Detective Sudoku (“Dedoku”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a detective logic puzzle game operated by Danyil Zborovskyi.This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Dedoku, why it is processed, how it is handled, and the choices and rights available to you.## 1. Information Stored Only on Your DeviceDedoku stores information needed to operate the game locally on your device, including:- Puzzle progress and completed cases
- Game statistics and streak information
- App preferences and settings
- Your Analytics consent choiceWe do not receive this locally stored information. It remains on your device unless it is included in a device backup managed by you or by your device platform provider. You can remove locally stored Dedoku data by deleting the App or by using any reset options provided in the App.## 3. Firebase Remote ConfigDedoku uses Firebase Remote Config, a service provided by Google, to retrieve operational configuration such as the minimum supported App version and to display an update-required screen when necessary.To provide this service, Firebase may process technical information including:- A Firebase installation identifier
- Device country code
- Language and time-zone settings
- Operating-system version
- App version
- Firebase App ID and Dedoku bundle identifier
- Basic SDK, platform, and device informationWe use this information only to operate, maintain, secure, and ensure the compatibility of Dedoku. We do not use Remote Config information for advertising or to create personal profiles.Our legal basis under the GDPR is our legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure, and compatible App. Remote Config is an operational part of Dedoku and continues to function even if you decline optional Analytics.## 4. Optional Firebase AnalyticsDedoku uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand general App usage, such as the approximate number of daily active users. Analytics is disabled by default and is activated only if you select Allow Analytics in the App.If you allow Analytics, Firebase may process:- App launches, sessions, and general engagement information
- App version and build information
- Device type, operating-system version, language, and similar technical information
- A randomly generated App-instance or installation identifier
- General geographic information, such as country or region
- Automatically collected diagnostic and usage information associated with the Analytics serviceWe do not intentionally send your name, email address, precise location, puzzle notes, or the content of your feedback messages to Firebase Analytics. We do not set a personal user ID, use the advertising identifier (IDFA), enable personalized advertising, or link Analytics to Google Ads.We process optional Analytics information on the basis of your consent. You may grant, refuse, or later withdraw consent in Dedoku under Settings → Privacy & Analytics.Withdrawing consent stops future Analytics collection. It does not automatically delete information previously processed with your consent. You may contact us to request deletion; however, because Dedoku does not require an account and Analytics data is associated with pseudonymous identifiers, we may not always be able to connect stored Analytics information to you personally.Declining Analytics does not prevent you from using the game.## 5. Feedback and Support EmailsIf you select Send Feedback, Dedoku opens Apple’s system email composer inside the App. The draft may include:- The feedback text you choose to write
- Your email address and email-display name, as provided by your mail account
- Dedoku version and build number
- iOS version
- Device modelYou can edit or remove the draft and its technical information before sending it. No feedback information is sent to us unless you choose to send the email.We use feedback information to respond to you, investigate problems, and improve Dedoku. The legal basis is taking action at your request and our legitimate interest in providing support and improving the App.Your use of Apple’s Mail services is also governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.## 6. Information We Do Not Collect or UseDedoku does not:- Require or provide user accounts
- Collect your name, phone number, address, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or precise location through the App
- Display third-party advertising
- Use data for personalized advertising
- Use IDFA or request App Tracking Transparency permission
- Sell or rent personal information
- Share personal information with data brokers
- Track your activity across apps or websites owned by other companiesIf these practices change in a future version, we will update this Privacy Policy and any required in-App consent before the new processing begins.## 7. Service ProvidersWe use the following service providers:### Google FirebaseGoogle provides Firebase Analytics, Firebase Remote Config, Firebase Installations, and supporting infrastructure. - Google Privacy Policy### AppleApple distributes Dedoku through the App Store and provides the system email composer used for feedback. Apple may process information independently under its own privacy policy:- Apple Privacy PolicyWe do not control information that Apple processes independently through the App Store, iCloud backups, your Apple Account, or Mail services.## 8. Data RetentionWe retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy:- Locally stored game information remains on your device until you reset it or delete Dedoku.
- Analytics information is retained according to the retention settings configured for our Google Analytics for Firebase property and Google’s applicable retention practices. Aggregated reports that no longer identify an App instance may be retained for longer.
- Firebase installation identifiers may be retained by Firebase until deletion is requested. Google states that, after an applicable deletion request, removal from live and backup systems may take up to 180 days.
- Feedback and support emails are normally retained for up to 12 months after the related request is resolved, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for legal, security, or record-keeping purposes.## 9. International Data TransfersGoogle and Apple may process information in countries outside Spain or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by applicable safeguards, which may include adequacy decisions, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, and the service providers’ data-processing terms.Information about Google’s data-transfer safeguards is available through Google’s privacy and Firebase documentation.## 10. Your Privacy RightsDepending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information. Children’s PrivacyDedoku is not directed to young children, and we do not knowingly collect names or contact details from children through the App. Optional Analytics remains disabled unless consent is given.If you are below the age at which you may provide data-protection consent in your country, please ask a parent or legal guardian before enabling Analytics or contacting us by email. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.## 12. SecurityWe use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through Dedoku. Communications with Firebase use encrypted network connections. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.## 13. Changes to This Privacy PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy when Dedoku’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, when appropriate, provide notice in the App. If a change requires new consent, we will request it before beginning the relevant optional processing.## 14.
